Finding Your Calm: Yin & Yoga Nidra
with Meg Pierce
Time: Saturday, December 7th, 12:30-2:00 PM
Location: Ambler
Cost: $30
As the seasons change and life gets busier, restorative yoga practices and meditation are an important part of self care. This workshop will explore the mental and physical benefits of yin yoga and yoga nidra, or yogic sleep. These practices have been linked to improved mood, sleep, digestion, respiration, relief from pain, and many other issues stemming from stress and overwork.
For those who prefer power yoga, the practice of slowing down can be challenging. Through this extended learning workshop and physical practice, we will give ourselves permission to ground down and go deeper.
This 90 minute workshop will include:
-
An introduction to the benefits of restorative yoga modalities, and suggestions for practicing at home.
-
An introduction to the technique of restorative poses
-
A 75 minute class with guided meditation
